The owner of a restaurant named Silvia is unhappy with his life and often spends time socializing with men; an American woman named Gina is unfaithful to her husband and has an affair with a Mexican man named Nick; Gina's daughter, Mariana, is distraught, especially since she met Nick's son, Santiago; a girl named Maria travels from Mexico to the United States to find her missing mother through a family connection.
